Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to pay a deposit?


A refundable deposit is required for rental of our equipments. The deposit for local use and rental duration for less than a month is $100. The deposit for overseas use and rental duration for a month or more is $150.




What is your policy for damaged products?


Upon collection of the equipment the RevWheelchair staff will assess the extent of the damage and will then relay it to the manager. They will determine whether the damage was due to wear and tear or misuse. The manager will then provide a more detailed overview of the charges incurred. These charges will be deducted from the deposit.




Are the equipments clean & safe?


RevWheelchair takes the utmost care in ensuring that our equipment is well maintained. They are cleaned regularly and disinfected. Our equipments are also regularly serviced by our staff to ensure that it is in full working condition. So rest assured that you are getting a clean and safe product.




How do I sell my wheelchair?


You can drop us a call or an email with details of the wheelchair, photos attached. You can also choose to fill up the online form and make an appointment with us. We will then advise you accordingly.




Can I rent the wheelchair for a customized number of days?


Yes you can. For example if you want to rent for 9 days then it will be counted as $55 (rental for 2 weeks) or if you want to rent for 17 days then it will be counted as $70 (rental for 3 weeks). However if you have any concerns or reservations with regards to the wheelchair rental pricing feel free to contact us so that we are able to customize your wheelchair rental.




Can I extend my rental period?


No problem at all. We understand that you might have unexpected events and you might want to extend your wheelchair rental. This is perfectly fine with us. However do try to inform us at least 3 days in advance so we are able to make any necessary changes on our side. Once your wheelchair rental extension is approved we will give you a new return date. The additional rental fee will then be deducted from your deposit.




Who rents your wheelchair?


We serve a fairly broad range of clients, from local Singaporeans (mainly caregivers of the elderly) who require a wheelchair for their monthly medical check-up or just a simple day out. We also serve tourists visting Singapore with elderly parents or seeking treatment at our hospitals. There are also those who require a wheelchair for a short term period till they recover from their injuries. Local businesses and companies also engage us when they require wheelchairs for their own clients. We also support local charities, events and non-governmental organizations who work with or organise events for the elderly and low income familes.




Can I make a reservation?


Definately. If you know your exact arrival dates or even a medical appointment scheduled a month from now and want to reserve a wheelchair before hand you can do so. You can contact us via call, WhatsApp or fill our online form to place your reservation. Do try to inform us at least 3 days in advance so we can set aside the wheelchair for you. There will be a $20 booking fee which will be calculated into the rental. This amount will be forfeited if you cancel less than 48 hours before the delivery date. For example, you want to rent a wheelchair for week (rental is $40) and you have placed a booking with us. Once we deliver the wheelchair you only need to pay us the remaining $120 (rental + deposit).




What if there is equipment failure?


If you find something faulty with the equipment immediately stop using it and call us. We will send our staff down to do an exchange (subject to availability). We will then assess the equipment to determine if the damage was caused by wear and tear or due to improper handling. We will then update you if there is any payment to be made on your part. Here at RevWheelchair we ensure that our wheelchairs are in good working condition and are maintained regularly before renting it out to you.




Can I bring the wheelchair overseas?


Yes most definitely. All you have to do if you want to bring the wheelchair overseas is to inform us that you will be doing so, we wil then require you to place a $100 deposit instead of the $50 deposit which is for local usage. Bringing a wheelchair for your overseas trip saves you time (and money). You won't have to search for wheelchairs overseas and risk getting a poorly maintained unit. Moreover you'd be glad to know that the wheelchair does not count to your baggage allowance. Even budget airlines such as Lionair, Jetstar and AirAsia do not impose any charges. For more information please contact your respective airlines for any queries regarding wheelchairs on flights.




How compact are your wheelchairs?


We are glad to inform you that our wheelchairs are compact and foldable. You can easily fit them into a car boot, taxi, buses and trains. The push handle for our Scout and Fit models are collapsable hence making the wheelchair's overall frame square shaped. As for the Colt we recommend that you detach the foot rest pieces before loading it up. This makes it easier to fit in the boot since it now has a square frame.




Do I have to book the wheelchair in advance?


We encourge you to book or reserve your desired wheelchair as soon as possible since there may be changes in demand especially during peak seasons, such as school holidays and end of year. Hence to serve you better we encourage you to place your booking at least 3 days in advance so we can make all the necessary arrangements to ensure that you get your desired wheelchair on time and in excellent condition. How does the Lease to Purchase Scheme work?


The Lease to Purchase or also known as Rent-to-Own scheme is an option that you can opt for if you are looking to own a wheelchair in the long run. This scheme allows you to own a wheelchair without having to fork out a large sum of money at one go. There are several payment plans that you can opt for or even come up with your own payment plan (subject to approval/ agreement with us). Once you've completed the payment plan the wheelchair is then yours to keep. We understand that for some a wheelchair is a need due to certain circumstances hence we came up with this initiative on our part to assist you to own your own wheelchair without creating a hole in your pocket.
